Walk-ins are welcome Wednesday through Saturday during business hours, but we highly recommend making an appointment so we can give you our full attention. Appointments are available any day of the week.

A little regular care goes a long way toward keeping your hat looking good and holding its shape.

Felt hats

Use a soft horsehair hat brush to gently remove dust, brushing counterclockwise as you look down at the crown. Use separate brushes for light and dark hats. Avoid soaking your hat. If it gets wet, gently shake off excess water and let it air-dry naturally, away from heaters, hair dryers, and direct sunlight.

Straw hats

Gently remove dust with a soft brush or dry cloth. If the manufacturer allows it, use a barely damp cloth for light surface cleaning. Avoid soaking, heavy rain, and excessive moisture, which can weaken the straw and change its shape.

Care for both felt and straw hats

Handle your hat by the brim near the crown, and avoid pinching the crown. Never leave it in a hot vehicle. Store it in a cool, dry place on a proper hat stand or in a hat box that supports it without putting pressure on the brim. For a short rest on a clean surface, place it upside down on its crown to help protect the brim’s shape.
