Tradition, craftsmanship, and individual style.

At Charlie Bravo Custom Hats, our mission is to honor the tradition of custom hat making while bringing personal craftsmanship to today’s lifestyle and fashion hats. We welcome every customer as an honored guest, giving our full attention from the first fitting to the final detail. Every hat is individually shaped, precisely fitted, and, when desired, personally decorated to reflect the character, style, and vision of the person who wears it.
Charlie Bravo Custom Hats was founded by longtime friends Michael Bearden and Tony Champion. Over the past decade their friendship has grown through a shared respect for service, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way. After decades in law enforcement, they now bring that same discipline, patience, and attention to detail to the art of custom hatmaking.
Mike has lifelong roots in Grady County and graduated from Cairo High School before earning his degree at the University of Georgia. He spent 20 years with the Metro Police Department, including five years on the SWAT team, and finished his career as a sergeant. His own style leans toward fashion and lifestyle hats, where clean lines and modern character let a piece make a statement.
Tony has lifelong roots in Thomas County and served four years in the United States Army after high school. He went on to a law enforcement career in North Florida, serving as a deputy sheriff and K9 officer with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Office of Inspector General, retiring after more than 25 years of service. His preference runs to traditional Western hats and the heritage and structure they represent.
In early 2026, Mike and Tony began mentoring under Brook Parrish, owner of Kendall’s Western Hats, learning the craft of shaping, fitting, decorating, and finishing hats firsthand. Each has a preferred style, but both shape traditional Western, lifestyle, and fashion hats for every customer who walks through the door.

South Georgia native and 20-year Metropolitan Police Department veteran, including five years on SWAT. Draws on Southern sporting tradition and fine craftsmanship.

A Tallahassee native leading marketing, social media, and the visual details that shape the customer experience.
Sit down with Tony and Mike and build a hat that’s genuinely yours, start to finish.
